Savings Accelerator Credit Card

Boost your savings rate by up to 3%
Over 18? Earn over £10,000? Want to boost your savings by up to 3%? Then our Savings Accelerator Credit Card could be for you. Typical 16.9% APR (variable)
Savings Accelerator is only available for application in branch.
How it works
Your Savings Accelerator Credit Card is linked to a NatWest First Reserve savings account. If you don’t already have a First Reserve savings account you will need to open one at the same time as you apply for the Savings Accelerator Credit Card.
The more you spend the more of a boost your savings receive. If you make a purchase on your card within the first 45 days from account opening, for the first 90 days you will receive a 3% bonus interest enhancement to your First Reserve account.
Then you could benefit from a bonus of up to 3% every 90 days on top of your standard rate, depending on your level of average monthly spend. For details of the standard rates that apply to your First Reserve account, please see our Savings Rates.
| Equivalent Monthly Spend | Bonus Interest | |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | £50 - £249 | 1% |
| Tier 2 | £250 - £499 | 2% |
| Tier 3 | £500 + | 3% |
The Equivalent Monthly Spend is your total spend on Purchases over a period of 90 days divided by 3 and rounded to the nearest pound. The first 90 day period over which an Equivalent Monthly Spend is calculated will commence on the date that you open your Card and Equivalent Monthly Spend will be calculated for each consecutive 90-day period thereafter.

Common definitions
Annual Equivalent Rate (AER). This is a notional rate used for interest bearing accounts which illustrates what the gross credit interest rate would be if paid and compounded on an annual basis. It helps you to compare the effective rates of credit interest on different accounts.
Gross Rate. This means the interest rate you are paid before the deduction of income tax.
Net Rate. This means the interest rate you are paid after the deduction of income tax.

Move funds to a bank account
You can transfer money from your Savings Accelerator Credit Card to any UK bank account. You simply pay your money transfer rate from the date of the transfer, and the minimum transfer is £250. See our rates and charges.
Cash advance
Your Savings Accelerator Credit Card gives you access to £300 each day, from cash machines around the world. The amount you can withdraw depends on your credit limit, and there’s a 3% handling fee - a minimum of £3.
